It’s a bright and windy Sunday thus it gave me a good reason to go out for a walk. Been craving for something sweet for the whole week, thus I drop by to Banana Tree Sg located at Keong Saik Road for the second time.
Ambiance at Banana Tree is in Garden themed, it have great interior and most importantly good lighting. With clean white walls and solid wooden furniture it gives a cozy and inviting atmosphere to me. Banana Tree have been a popular palace recently thus if want to give it a try please avoid the weekend, as the waiting time may takes up to 15 minutes. However, I’m lucky that I got my table in awhile.
When you walk into the cafe, there will be friendly staff welcoming you. The banana tree cafe is a partially self-service cafe, where you will order your food at the counter and wait for your food to be serve at your table. The service at banana tree is good, just a bit disappointed with their new staff, as she served my food to the wrong table. However overall it seems good to me.
Food at banana tree focus on Korean dessert, presenting it in a modern way. Their signatures dishes will be the “Flower Paap” – flower pot pudding, Red Beam Pot Bing Soo (now available in mini one – for those who just want to give it a try) and also Som Som Latte. The price at banana tree is quite affordable, where it cost around $9 per person. Moreover there is no GST or service charge for this cafe.
Today I ordered the Mini Red Beam Bing Soo Pot ($9.50) and the Sweet Potato Latte ($6).
Love the tall table but never got a chance to be on them, maybe next time.
Got seats near the entrance – although it is irritating seeing people walking in and out but i got good lighting. Thus it is selfie time.
This is a Instagram-ing worth cafe and the food is nice too. Will be back again the next time! Bless that it is just 10 minutes walking distance from my home.
